two people will embody two poles

one is the alarm another their whisper

no one ever told me how difficult it would be

expressing agreement between

clots of moving light on the gray wall,

a bevy of cartesian cardigans

in the wrecks of places that never feel quite—

like you could not even tell me about a single place without police or what the meaning of the word irregular is

but a siren.
